Are you still growing?

We all have day jobs, and we all have bills to pay. But those things should not stop us from growing. We must all find time, even if only half an hour a day to spend on self improvement. If you work for someone else for 8-12 hours a day, you should make time to work for yourself 30-60 minutes a day as well. Family is important, but you will be of more value to your family when you are operating in a zone where you are more fulfilled and happy. Explain what you are doing, and why and they will learn to understand the importance of your self improvement. More often than not, you will also inspire others close to you to do some growing of their own.
If you are not happy with your job, invest a few minutes a day reading or taking a class which will bring you closer to putting in your two week notice. Invest in yourself so that you can get the next better job, or so that you can start your own company. If you are not happy with your relationships with family or friends spend a few minutes each day reading about building better relationships and practice what you have read. If you are not a good cook, and you wish to be get a cook book and make dinner instead of stopping at your favorite fast food establishment. Stop complaining about your weight or physique, do push-ups or walk for 30, 45, 60 minutes a day…whatever you can handle. Doing any small thing is better than doing nothing.
You can create major changes in your life by making minor adjustments. The biggest lie that we tell ourselves is “its not that easy” when in reality it usually is just that easy. We must practice a bit of discipline and self control and we can accomplish anything we set our minds to.
I urge you all to go to your local book store or library and find a non-fiction book to teach and/or motivate you. If you complain about boredom, you are not doing something right. No one will force success and/or happiness upon us, so we must practice self improvement to obtain any particular status we aspire to in this life.
Start making progress on improving just one thing in your life which you are not 100% satisfied with. Once you stop growing you start to die.
